1000 Calorie Diet Plan
To lose weight safely and effectively, you need to burn more calories than you consume.
Your body will naturally burn about 2000 calories per day, regardless of exercise. The actual number of calories you burn at rest, or Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), varies depending on such factors as your age, height, weight, gender and general diet and exercise habits.
But to actually lose weight, you must burn more calories than you take in. So, if the calories you consume through eating are less than the calories you burn through exercise and basic body functions (such as breathing, respiration and digestion), you will lose weight. With a 500 calorie daily deficit, you should lose about one pound per week. Increase that deficit to 1000 calories per day and you double your weight loss to approximately two pounds per week.
But for greater weight loss, you need to increase dramatically the amount of calories you burn vs the amount of food you eat. Reducing daily calorie intake too drastically can cause its own health problems, so you want to increase that ratio safely through proper diet supplemented by an exercise program. Many diet plans claim to offer a quick, easy and painless dieting solution, and there are many satisfied consumers who have taken off significant weight using these programs. A number of dieters complain, however, of regaining the weight once the dieting ends or they stop using the prepackaged meals.
The key to successful weight loss – that is, weight loss that is effective in shedding pounds and for keeping the weight off once you’re no longer dieting — is to combine proper eating habits with a regular exercise program. The exercise regimen may range from Zumba or dance class, pilates, calisthenics and weight training to simply walking around the block. A 150 pound person will burn about 100 calories per mile by walking at a moderate pace (the heavier you are, the more calories burned per mile walked). An hour of Zumba will burn about 535 calories for a 150 pound person.
Safe and effective dieting requires that you know which foods are best for fat burning, which foods prevent fat burning, and which foods you should combine to maximize fat burning. The successful dieter needs to combine nutrition knowledge — knowing what foods to eat for maximum fat burn — with exercise. There is no easy solution, but some programs are generally regarded by nutrition experts as better than others. The Diet Solution promises that you will lose three to ten pounds in the first week, and reduce your your body fat by 10% over the first 30 days of the program. Here is a link to their site: The Diet Solution Program.
Please remember to consult your doctor before beginning any diet or exercise program.
